Sketch, Task-relevant details in-context – Zoomboxes

A paper and pencil sketch showing a few zoombox design variations

Early sketches of what I later called “zoomboxes”, done using pencil and paper. I designed them to provide task-relevant details on demand without forcing users to leave the context of the page they’re on.

This sketch gives a little more detail to seed ideas sketched earlier, adding in some details into the zoomboxes-to-be that were found via user research to be the most commonly sought after in their work.

This design is from a web application project undertaken as a long-term contractor. Fuller details on the project, from user research to UX process artifacts all along the way can be discussed in person, but seem a little too sensitive (for expected NDA reasons) to be published on the web.
